Mowing and landscaping are my pt job at this point. Unfortunately my "day"job consists of mowing as well, so after work, the last thing i want to do is to mow...

depends on who you ask. i'm a certified first responder, which is called EMT-1 in some areas. i'm going to go back and get EMT-I this fall i think. i run more med calls than anything else though.

Dura, Don't you need EMT-B before EMT-I?
Here, you need EMT-B before you can move up.

I am familiar with:

EMT-First Responder
EMT-Basic
EMT-Intermediate
EMT-Paramedic

EMT-B is no longer offered here, it goes:

EMT-1 first responder
EMT-3/I Intermediate
EMT-4/P Paramedic

Interesting how other states have their own medical regs. I wonder what your protocols are like. Anyways, I tried medic class and never worked out.

I used to work nights cleaning office buildings. Not the last 2 years though as business has picked up.

The wife stays home with the kid now, so, if I don't get a lot of plow accounts lined up for the winter, then I'll go back to a part time job.

I plan on quitting my full time gig and going to ups part time. I will have benefits at least then.

I do lawn care only right now but there is plenty of room for something else because I only have about 12 accounts. I was thinking Lowes or Home Depot because someone said the benifits are good. I would work there just for good health ins. alone. Being a lawn guy only leaves me open to serious problems down the road when I have a problem and can't afford the Dr. bills.

Full time Firefighter & Police Officer here. My Fence, Lawn & Landscape business is my "part-time" gig. I then also volunteer for 2 combination paid-volunteer fire depts. The outdoor business is sure nice to go to after dealing with criminals and fire calls. I enjoy it greatly! I just wish we had wireless internet at work.....for more Lawnsite time!!
