I couldn't justify spending 300 bucks on the power chute which would be nice. So i decided to make one myself with a little help. So far only have 10 bucks in it because of having most of the material laying around. Here's some pics from today, will try to finish tomorrow.

the power chute is nice but i have had problems with myn. the wires like pulling out of the connectors, so i had to go get better connectors. the other problem i had was i bent the pice that moves when it was in the up position , but i just bent it back and away i went. on a scale of 1-10 i would give it a 6 just because off all the mods i had to make to it.

make sure you drill some holes in that plate about about 1/2 holes maybe 12-15 because is makes a vacuum under the deck and you will get VERY dirty if there is no holes

good looking set-up, Im working on making one for mine equipment right now. Just like the rest of you I just couldn't put out $200 for something I can make in an hour for less then $10-20, plus I was looking at getting one for all 3 mowers. Let's see $30 or $600 whats sounds better ?????

I like that. Very similar to the one I built for the 717A. I had to drill a hole in the deck to mount it though. I like the way yours is made so you can lift it up when you need to. I might try something like that with mine. It would be kind of like a cheap MOD deck!
