Another storm came thru new years eve. 7" of snow.

Roads were treacherous and i got rear ended by a truck same size as mine and very similar.
06 F-350 reg. long bed XLT Power stroke.

Car infront of me slowed down and stopped fast to make a turn into a parking lot so i slowed down too. Man driving the pickup slid down the street quite a distance and rammed into my rear end. Hard enough to send the coins in my dash tray all over the cab. Nobody was injured.

My trucks kinda mangled:(

I think thats the truck that hit him. I was wondering the same thing but you can see the plow on his truck. The trucks do look identical.

yeah mass is full of idiots who shouldnt drive in bad weather im a hockey coach at my local high school and i watched the kids leave the rink after practice when the storm had just started and half the kids were doing donuts and the mothers were in there mini vans sliding out of the parking lot with two hands on the wheel and there eyes glued to the windshield i was waiting for a phone call that someone got in an accident which is sad to think but stuff happens especailly in bad weather

Its better to crumple when impacted. Mines tougher because i was able to slow down and stop fast. The truck that rear ended me just slid all the way down the street. no extra weight on front or in the bed. the heavy diesel engine is on the front and nothing in the back.

He took responsibility for the accident because he couldn't stop so he swerved to the right. When i got out of the truck and saw his i knew exactly who it was because i see it every day when driving by the guys office on Lakeview.

He was on his way home to Chelmford from work. I saw the truck parked just a few hours earlier in the parking lot.

Newyear's eve is a tough day for a snow storm. When it was most intense was when the most people were on the rd.

Those are new lights and they were installed the day before.

Last year got rear ended by a Nissan Altima and the car went under the truck and folded up the light. my truck was fine but the car had some damage.

Today i finished filling out 3 pages of information on the accident report and brought a copy to the police then another copy to my insurance agency and my agent put me on the ph. with the ins. co. and i went through the whole process for filing the claim etc....

I left and went to do a few errands and i was on the same street where i got rear ended 2 days ago. A vehicle in the left lane coming the opposite direction was stopped to let 2 pedestrians cross so i stopped also and BANG!!! i get rear ended AGAIN:laugh::laugh::hammerhead::dizzy:

So i pull off the rd into a parking lot and get out. its a guy in a black minivan. He hit my trailer hitch and the hitch smashed a hole into his plastic bumper and damaged it. My truck was fine. He said he didn't see the 2 people crossing the street and i stopped so anyway everyone was fine. I left in amazement that i got rear-ended only a few hundred ft. from where got hit 2 days ago.:laugh::dizzy:

They were a job to install. take the interior panels off the doors. disconnect all the wiring plugs to the windows, locks. take out the door speaker so i could unplug the old mirrors and install the new ones.

yup getn sleet, ice and rain now. pretty nasty stuff.

Yes the International as a 10' or 11' blade and is on the state highways. Has a contract for it with MassHighway.

I'd like to add a dump truck to the fleet this year. Get an enclosed trailer maybe by late summer (dump truck 1st). update the Walker to a newer model before the fall of '09.

Of course work hard to get many more maintenance accounts and install jobs.

If business goes much better then planned then i might be able to buy something special like a skidsteer, mulch blower, or hydroseeder. wouldnt be able to afford any of these brand new though.

Or buy some toys:laugh:

Yup its private property and i have permission and pay to dump there.

Both residential and commercial. what ever pays.

My general liability is half million. My insurance agent suggested i dont even both raising it until its require and nobody has questioned me about it so thats how it is now.

My commercial auto is around $1k. I paid about $1300 this year but that included the trailer. The truck doesnt have alot of extras and options on its insurance coverage. basically everything thats required and needed.

I've heard that NJ insurance is wicked expensive.

My plowing is under my general liability. i dnt have a separate policy for plowing. General liability is around $900.

LOL, we got 3-4 inches this morning, and I have no engine in the tractor, I need new rings, so I didn't get to plow this morning, but it's getting rebuilt now. THe plow fell threw with my truck, michigan sucks.

I was quoted $1000/year landscape and $2000/6 months plowing....I think the guy is out of his F'N mind....I'm going to talk to some others. Oh and he wanted $3500/yr just for my dodge 2500!! I may just keep it under personal!!

As far as equipment, I'm not going anywhere. lol I need to get some cash together for a truck. As I can't get a loan for crap. My dad already signed for the dodge and he doesn't want to sign for a dump....he'll sign for mowers though. So I buy the dump cash and just replace the mowers with what I need.

Well the most important customer who has 24/7 in home care, thought I was back in school this week so she said she made a quick trip just to do the driveway, and I was driving by the house and stopped in, and told her I was going to go find something to plow snow with, but she thought I was in school, and I told her even if I was in school, I'd still get to the driveway before school, but she was visiting her mom anyway so that didn't matter, then I don't know about the other customers, I haven't gotten any calls yet, but I"m going out tommarow morning with the quad, I just have to go get it tonight.

I do it them all with my tractor, I have 10-12, but I know where I can have double if not triple if I had a plow on my truck, but I can't seem to find a used plow for it, and I can't wing $4,000 on a plow, i just rolled over 224,000. Some drives are fairly big, one is about 100 yards long and about 18 foot wide is my biggest one. But since my engine is being rebuilt, my grandpa is letting me use his quad to plow snow, it's not so bad with the snow we have now, but if we get 10 inches or more, it's nice to have the blower. I travel about half mile away, but I have people call me 15 miles away, and others 8 miles away asking if I can do their drive, but I'm not pulling a trailer down the roads required to get to the drives. But I'm in the process of looking for a plow to get my by, then hopefully getting a Chevy 2500HD diesel with a nice Boss V-Plow for next year. I'm hoping I can wing that.
