Using a contract

For those that use contracts, do you use seasonal or year round? For year round contracts, how do you deal with winter months where a cutting may not be needed weekly? Any other information on contracts would be great. Thanks.

year round. either set it up where they pay less during the winter, or where you dont make what you should during the summer and make it back during the winter.

if the client wants seasonal, then i figure it out to average for 12 months of equal payments

Do you leave any provisions for the customers to cancel their contract? Is there a cancelation fee or is the contract just to keep them from switching to the first lowballer to come along?
