Good luck finding a used one. My dealer said I should have kept mine because they are rare. They were $3999 last year when I got mine but they went back up to $5200. My dealer sells them for $4999 now. When I asked about getting another phazer he said just get the lazer z for $5999. Great investment. If you could fit into those back yards the lazer 46" is a great mower.

They're 4,999 here. I have found some used ones, not a lot but some. eXmark is the most widely used brand down here so I shouldn't have too much trouble.

nice looking setup. how long does an average lawn take you with the push?

Most lawns I do are 1/4 acre or under. My largest lawn takes about 1.5 hours with mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing. My smallest lawn takes about 40 minutes and I just weedeat the back, it's that small.

So I'd say my average is about 1 hr 15 minutes. I hate my mower, but it does the job.

I suggest shortening the name of your company to 'Royalty Lawn Care', as the addition of 'Mowing' (which hardly sounds "royal" at all) is unnecessarily redundant (). Plus, it simply sounds better.

Obama for pres? That's a joke right?

Yes. I don't like any of the presidents in this election... it's time for an indpendent party guy to run. Obama is a racist, is disloyal to America, and can only speculate on his policies and beliefs. John McCain has no understanding of economics whatsoever, advocates staying in the war for the long haul (which will mean a draft), and is too old to give a damn about the younger generation of America.

I'm normally left-wing but I don't like ANY of the canidates this year.

I'm planning on it. I have some money saved now, it was a good thing to start with the 21, very low overhead set-up. The trailer was custom made by a family member who does welding so I got a good deal on it (it wasn't free, and it's more user friendly than other trailersI have used).

Ya, let's get off the whole politics thing. I'm tired of the election, especially all the "PastorGate" crap.

Business is alright. I'm trying to decide whether to hold out for a new mower or a used one. I know it will either be the eXmark Phazer, the eXmark Metro 36, or the Hustler Mini Z/FasTrak SD 36. I'm working with another LCO part time so I am getting some great advice. I also learned to use a w/b. I hope ECS is a little easier on the hands lol.

Ya, the blue can is a big help. I do a lot of foreclosures and for rent props with tons of trash on them. It also eliminates trash bags for weed removal and hedge trimming jobs. I actually have one of those grabber devices to pick up trash with, I carry it with me when I mow.

I'm down to about 20 now since I recently scaled back do to not enough time. I really need a 36 ztr or w/b, the 21 takes too long.

As far as lawn care in general goes, June marks my first full year in business but I have been working in this industry for a while. I still work part time for another LCO.

Actually, I found a used eXmark Metro 36 in my area for $800. It's an 02 or 03 model with pistol grips. $800. In good condition, new motor and all. Might be getting it, but I will add a Velke of some sort.

I hate using the 21 but it hasn't died. I had it already to do my own lawn so I figured it would be a waste to buy a new mower until my business grew.

Down here, we only have good dealer support for the big brands, the smaller ones (Bad Boy, Lesco/Cub Cadet) we have to drive out a few hours. I have eXmark, Hustler, Wright, Dixie Chopper, and Gravely.

No, it's just boring to come to the pictures forum and always have a setup with a 21" toro push mower at the top (not even a commercial toro)......... when we have guys running so many different set-ups...... I look at this thread and see 3-5 'bumps' in a row.

It's a pictures forum. If you were selling something, I could see the point in bumping it. Let it go, or post with something new. I don't how someone can have so many posts doing so little work. Every time I read your posts you're talking about getting a phazer........ either get it, or stop talking about it already. It gets boring reading the same thing over and over again

one thing i need to ask is you keep saying your saving for a phazer but then you say your changing all your handhelds to stihl. if you want a phaze then why buy new handhelds when the others work just fine? if i were you use what you got for handhelds and save just for the phazer then with the money you make with the phazer start switching over your hendhelds. for some reason that makes more sence to me. but other then that nice set up low cost, no over head and gets the job done!!!

I didn't have to come out of pocket at all for the Stihl handhelds except $100 for the trimmer, the money I made selling the Echos mostly covered it.

And to all the guys who ask about the Phazer, I really want one but as I've said before, I will have one by the end of the year at best. I want to gain some new accounts before I make that big of a purchase.

Here's an updated pic of all my Stihl stuff, which I love. I use an FS 90 R trimmer, FC 90 edger, KM 90 R hedge trimmer and backup trimmer/edger, and a BR-380 blower.
All the Echo stuff is gone except the blower which I am selling to a friend this week. I'm still waiting on a good deal on a walk-behind, my goal for that is May of 2009. Right now, my Toro is getting me through so I'll deal with that until the time is right.

Nice stihl stuff that will make you some $ there for many years to come. I still got my first pice of Stihl 2 cycle equipment. Its the kombi FS85 that I got back in 2000. It gets used almost everyday but its now a just a hedge trimmer. I'll put attachments on it when other stuff is in the shop.

Oh have you looked at the 32/36 standers? I was gonna get a phazer or another small z for back yards, but ended up going with a Stander. They are built like tanks and for me it was cheaper than a Z.

oh take that guard off the line trimmer, it really does cut down on fatigue with less weight. When it goes to the dealer for service throw it back on there for the warranty.

I almost got a BR-550, but it didn't really make sense once I thought about it since I don't do fall cleanups, I just use the blower to clean up clippings. It's got plenty of power for that.

Thanks. I love Stihl, I will never use another brand. I love the Standers but my dealer doesn't carry them and I try to stick to one dealer. Only eXmark or Dixie for now.

ya if you dont do fall cleanups then the Br550 is overkill. I know that I would like to get a Bg85 just for mowing so I dont have to lug the 600 everywhere.
