A few questions on a cub w/b..
how do the cubs hold up, are they quality?
do they give a nice cut?
they run intek engines, i belive.. how are these?
Now, do you think 1500 dollars is a good deal for a 2000 48" floating deck, 16 HP BS engine, hydrostatic drive with 75+/- hours...? and again.. do you think this is a good mower? will it hold up and be good to me?

First, I would see why they are selling it so quickly. They are decent mowers they are in the whole lesco, mtd family. My 48 mtd pro has not given me one bit of problem. They are a pretty tough machine and heavy built. Talking with repair guys in my area they say make sure you maintain and be "anal" with the upkeep etc. It does sound like a good deal if everyhting is on the up and up.

I would certainly question them as to why they are selling this machine so cheap. $1500 is less than half of what this mower cost new and at 75 hours this mower isn't even broken in yet.
If it were me I would rather go for the 48" Exmark that was/is up for bid on Ebay.

Looks like a good price to me. A way older 52" Toro belt near Phila. sold for $1375 on ebay this month.

I've heard many different opinions and its about equal responses between this thread and scagmans.. i believe this has a briggs intek 16 HP engine.. i was curious to if this was a crappy engine or not.. and wondering if it will hold up to day after day use

Here's a thread on Intek engines from March of this year.
There are some other threads that discuss Intek engines but none of them seem to be real favorable. You can use the search button (available at the top of every page) to see the rest of the threads.

as refferring to the inteks, i talked to my dealer the other day, and he said, so far he hasnt had one problem with any motor hes sold. as for the cub walkbehind, i have heard everything from it being a piece of junk, to the best thing since corn flakes.
