Exmark replacement pumps

I'm thinking of replaceing a hydro pump on my lazer. Has anybody ever used the viper pumps that j-thomas sells. They are about $100 cheaper but I'm wondering about the quality.

Personally have never used one but from what I have read and heard they are made by a large hydrostatic engineer company in conjunction with J-Thomas. They offer a 1 year warranty that is 4 times the standard warranty for replacement pumps and also a 1 year labor warranty that reads, ***If the pump fails due to manufacturer defect within one year from the date purchased, the pump will be replaced(shipped next day air) plus $100.00 J. Thomas product credit for labor.***
A buddy of mine @ another shop has used one and said it looks different but was a direct install no mods. and it has not come back :)
