As a solo operator/s corp.. what do you feel is a reasonable amount of money to pay an accountant per month, quarter or year? I pay $350 per quarter and $900 for end of year business/personal tax returns.
Does this seem about right?

I'll ask my younger brother Tom. Not only is he a CPA, but also currently owns 23 Jackson Hewitt Tax Preparation stores in NY and PA. You already know how much I pay.

Rod.. did you get to ask your brother?
Suppose I find someone else to do it for less... then they look at my books and see that I've been paying what I'm paying?

How much work are they doing? Are they doing all of your entrees and book work? A sharp accountant may be worth the money if he can find ways to save on your taxes.
