Is this the right section? I think so, but I can repost.

Anyway, at the bottom of our driveway is a low spot where the water pools. I want to dig a ditch and stick a pipe in there, and cover it back up. Now I would run it behind the garage to another low spot, where the water would be out of the way. But there is a cement wall in the way. I have two ways to go around this, would either of them work?
What if I was to dig a hole, say 4' round and a few feet deep, if I filled it with rocks, (possibly mulch I can get for free?) could I run the water to that, or would the water cave in the sides, and no be worth it?
Other option, I remember in a science class that if you force water through a smaller area it gains pressure, could I use smaller and smaller tubing to make a funnel and force the water uphill? It would only be a few inches.

I assume pics would make it easier to describe, if so I can get some.

haha! on the smaller tubing. water doesn't run up hill. if you have sufficient drop you can defiantly put in a catch basin or a french drain and run it to the back yard, if you're soil is cooperative you could try a "pit drain" other than that we're talking sump.

What if I dug down around the area where it pools, put in 6-8" of gravel, and then 6-4" of dirt again and reput grass down, would that help?

no be worth it.

Sump..........only way you could do the other way would be spot a concrete
cistern & pump anywhere you want. Just read your last post, I believe you're
getting surface run-off? If so, run the drain rock to the the top & it will
perc slowly; mite be o.k.
