Stihl HS45 Hedge Trimmer Bar Replacement

I have a HS 45 with an 18" bar. Was wondering if anyone knew if the 24" bar was interchangeable with it and where I could get one at????

A buddy of mine has your exact trimmer with the 18" and he wants to go to a 24". The guys at Brentwood Lawnmower said it could be done, according to him. I'd check into it, any Stihl dealer w/ a service dept. could help you out.
