I'm running a Scag Tiger Cub and have noticed the hydro oil tank gets very warm I thought about adding a small 7 1/2" x 5" atv oil cooler to help reduce the oil temp. Has anyone done this or know of a better solution?

Thanks

i have seen many Z with oil coolers. I'd use a transmission oil cooler. possible better to withstand higher pressures.

Mount it over top of the air cooler intake for the engine so its constantly getting fresh air drawn over it. or put a separate 12v fan on it...

if you can put your hand on the oil tank the oil is not hot enough to cause any problems, oil starts to degrade around 280 or 300 (ball park number) you can stand about 115 or so before you have to take your hand away so your probably ok the way it is, get one of those infrared temp guns and see how hot it really is

I saw last year where someone posted, using a cooler from a Wildcat on his Tiger Cub.
