Man at first I thought "why in the world did this guy buy a chrome kick panel on the bottom of the doors for a work truck" because it looked like the grass was reflecting on to it in the first pic. Looks good and what is that yellow logo in front of the "C" supposed to be? looks like a sail.

Very nice truck. Three questions.
1. Where do you get the decals?
2. Are they custom decals?
3. The truck, is it gas or diesel and how are you liking it so far?

You need better graphics, The logo work is good the grass on the bottom not so good, It is also not straight.
The image you use for your grass on all your logo's is very muddy.
We also own a graphics shop and would never let you use anything but the logo unless you paid us double and didn't tell anyone where you got it done at.

It is just a swoosh that is part of the logo

About $650 for all the decals and application

1. and 2. Custom made

Not good?! It looks great! Is it perfectly straight? No. Is it straight enough that nobody will notice unless they stare at it and look for problems? Yes
Muddy? I have had nothing short of people being blown away by the graphics
You are passing up on allot of business because everyone loves this thing and can't stop talking about it!

Ehh, I'm a graphic design major myself and I have to agree, the grass does not look good. The rest of the vinyl looks good, albeit a little small, but nice.
I would take the grass off, personally.

the one thing i dont like it that the grass graphic isnt a single long graphic its just a bunch of the same 1 foot length pieces butted up together. it looks good but i could see it peeling in the future from all the cuts.

I would have had the blades of grass continue into the white space, as if they had grown on there. Not fake green vinyl but printed grass.
No, it is not straight (the grass) but I see more because I own a shop that has high standards and will not hack it. If I can not do it I will not do it. If they insist and I try and I am not happy with it I will discount it.

It is a single long graphic only cuts are at the doors and bed. The pattern does repeat but it is airbrushed together on the computer before being printed.

Exactly you are a graphic design major that is why you notice these things

We're not bashing it, just pointing from another view what could be better. If your happy, that's all that matters.
Stand back though, even with it being airbrushed, you seem the same bold grass stems spaced evenly apart. No big deal though. Long as you like it!
Now get mowing, that's what we're all about anyway!

It's cool, I do like it and could it have been better? Ya but I didn't want to pay what it would have cost. I use a local guy and friend. I think he does great work and believe me in my area this is worlds better then you see on any other trucks around here.

To us non graphic designers it looks great. After reading the posts I can see what your talking about.
Before reading the posts thou, I thought the grass would look better with different length's of grass blades instead of completely smooth across

That can't really be done with printed vinyl, only plotted. I agree with you, different lengths and no background would have been world's better.

Sure it could, you take an image such as this and set your cut line to follow the blades of grass and bam done.
Same cost in this case.
Not exactly what I would have used but a quick google search gave me that image.

It looks good but something along these lines would have grabbed more attention and looked better NMHO.
Sorry to rag on your new decals so hard.
Next time go for something like this. Took me about 5 minutes but it is just a sample to get an idea.

I was referring to that being done with the image he chose. Yes, with another image, it could be done fairly easy.

See it must be a matter of taste because I don't like that look as much. I know you said you did it in 5 min but I just don't think I would like that. I am working on a few more things that I think are going to make it look real nice.

I guess what I wanted was something to just make it not so plain white. On allot of the XLTs and Latiets they will have a different color down there. But I figured if I was gona have something put on I wanted something different but. That's just it then it is a matter of taste. For instance my little brother thinks the dodge trucks look awesome and I think they look like a**

Yea not good at all not really thrilled about the repeating, you can buy proper grass pictures online with resolutions large enough so you don't have to repeat. Much nicer IMO.

lol, you guys are nuts. I have been driving it a few days now and people stop m when I am getting in and out and even talk to me at stop lights. They all love it and no body even noticed it repeated! I asked a few of them about it and they said "Hmmm...I didn't even notice till you said something". Point is people see it and like it so it is doing it's job

I like it and its all pretty straight. The picture you put up gives the allusion that the grass is crooked but its just the suspension and frame flexing with the ground. I had to go back and look twice to notice that it repeated.

That 1-800 no. is too sweet. The truck does look good . The only time U would need a bigger no. on the truck is when the trailer isn't there.
How much does the 800 no. cost. Is it worth it?

Thanks, I am seriously considering making the number on the truck bigger.
It cost like $5 a month but I pay about 10 cents a min for every call that come in on it weather it is local or not. Yes very worth it!

06-17-2008, 09:42 PM
I thought it would be more then that for the 800 no. Uusally only on the phone for less then three minutes. Might look into that.
Does that go go straight to your home or cell no?

WE have it set up going straight to the business number at the office but I beleive you can send it to a cell if you want.

My first impression was and still is that it looks awesome. I think in this situation the grass coming up into the white as individual blades would look tacky. At first you think it is just a ford with the two tone or different color down on the rocker panel and then you notice it is actually grass, very subtle. Very professional looking!

If you do a Google search a lot of places sell them. They will forward to your cell phone you just have to look at the rates. I'm sure they are all similar.

I searched for you, this one looks good. $10 a month and includes 127 minutes. Additional minutes are 7.9 cents each.

I think it looks terrible. You should cut some Pampas grass and glue it to the sides of your truck.:hammerhead:

Thanks for all the great comments guys! I real don't like crome on work trucks. I prefer the black grill because it goes well with the bug shield, fender flares, tool box, bed rails and I am getting it black rhino lined.

i'm about to get a 08 F350 XL - 5.4L Gas -
How do you like yours?
Do you feel you have enough power?
How's the towing?
Some insight on the power would be great....
Doesn't the F150 and F250/350 have the same engine?

Power is fine, I pull about 8 or 9k daily. I have the 4:10 rear end and get about 8mpg when I tow but i never see a freeway or much flat ground.
