how to get pics enstead of red x ?

in a lot of threads i get a red x enstead of a picture .
how , or is there a way to get the pic or is it gone for good ?

I have been getting Pm's on this, so you are not the only one wondering Rodney.

If you get a red X, that means that picture has been taken down by the member. It is no longer viewable.

That kinda stinks especially if a member posted a ton of pictures, then takes all of them down or changes their website where their pictures were stored. But what can you do? :rolleyes:

Jodi's correct that the red X means that the picture is not available because 1) the file moved, changed name etc. or 2) you gave the wrong link...

Also there are times when the picture is hosted by a certain "company" (that stores pics for viewing) pictures will show up as red x's in forums. If you actually obtain the address from the red x and inserted in your address bar to view the pic by itself you can then go back into the thread and the pic would then be visible. Angelfire sometimes shows there logo.
