i have a 44 mini z and on hot days when i run the mower and disengage the blade i cant reengage the blades till the mower cools down is it the clutch?

This is a symptom of clutch wear/adjustment. I'd say that is your likely culprit.

Yup get a .013 feelers guage and thats what the gap should be. There will be 3 bolts with springs on the clutch. Those are what tighten and loosen the gap. There will be 3 slots where the 3 bolts and springs are. Thats where you put the feelers guage. You should be able to slide the feelers guage in and out of those slots and each slot should be just snug enough to cause light drag on the feelers guage.
