just telling you what we have run for over 5 years and had on the usual problems....exmark mowers, echo2 stroke, and stihl chain saws (our pole saw is actually an echo as well)

and how much should i spend on the truck trailer and equitment

just starting out spend what you have to put into the business...theres enough equipment out there for just about any price range

For equipment I would go with Stihl trimmers, blowers, saws, etc. As far a mowers go, see what dealers will be in your area. John Deere, Toro and Exmark are all good brands and are used widely around my area. Get a good used truck (1/2 ton pick-up), don't go spending $30,000 on a new truck. You can usually get a new 16' open trailer for about 1800-2200. Good luck with that though.

I agree with mowerbrad. You can get an F250 for like 10,000, a new trailer open i saw one for 1750 and it was 14ft long with weedwacker and blower mounts. I use all Exmark mowers. I have honda and echo weedwackers. Husqvarna blower and hedge trimmer. Soem stuff does get expensive and it all depends on what you got going for yourself how many accounts you got and whether they are commercial or residential
