Do you think that is a good deal? It only has 740 hours. Do you think that is too big for residential yards?

Not a bagger with a spindle driven blower... I run a 27/61 a lot (Grasshopper) with a bagger, and it is just barely enough power.

That should be fine. How much are you getting it for?

Just so I understand, a nine year old mower for $2,600.00?
Hour meter time is irrelevant as those things fail constantly unless it is a true Hobbs meter.
Maybe, just maybe $1,800 if the paint isn't chipped/rusted/motor has uniform compression and passes a leak down test.
Max for an antiquated unit like that with parts availability issues from a dealer may prove to be a problem unless the dealer services a market inundated with old machines.
Depending upon the residential turf site sizes a 60" mower may not be too large.
If you are solely buying it for your place and personal or as an occasional back-up unit use I'd say it was worth a look.
But not at $2,600.00.
As a primary machine, simply put - no way.
I would post it on ebay with a reserve of 2k and "buy it now" for 2500.00. You will probably get a fair price for it.
