smae here, i just switched back to an eight footer crew cab. great to work out of. but i guess there is something to be said of that whole good gas mileage thing, (ive never had a vehicle that got over 12 around town so i aint too sure about the gas mileage, but from what ive heard good fuel economy is pretty sweet.)

hey man nice pics ... How did you swing so many accounts and do you have any tips ???

well, we mow 5 days a week, we are sitting at the first lawn at 7:30am and work to 5:30. all are accounts are very close together, i think i only have 2 stops where there is only one account, also i have one guy that helps me. we run 2 zero turn at a time, i start cutting the front with the 48in ztr and my helper will mow the back yards with the 60in ztr, when the first guy get done mowing he grabs the weed wip, the second guy done grabs the edger, and then we both blow the walks off. its a pretty good system and has worked well for us.

Is a bigger trailer in plan down the road? Looks like you need one. It sucks cuz up there trailers are so expensive. I just priced an 18ft car hauler last week, at $1290, brand new.

i'm currently in college now, i'm going to night school, 4 days a week from 6-10 every night.

How do i get all the lawns done in one week, well i'm blessed to have a amazeing helper. we mow 5 days a week from 7:30am-4:00pm then we both go to school. we run 2 zero turns and a 36"wb, i mow the front with the 48in ztr and he mows the back with the 60in ztr, first guy done grabs the weed wip the second guy grabs the edger and we both blow its a great system. and for the 16 acer commerical prop that we do for my buddy i go out on monday by myself and cut and my buddy sends his guys to trim it. and while i'm cutting it josh "my helper" cuts residential stuff.

Do you like your old bobcat better?

both mowers have there pros and cons. the bobcat had a faster ground speed and put down nice stipes the first cut. The hydros were not very smooth and it had a ruff ride. also the clippigs did not discage well from the mower. The toro on the has a great ride and is very smooth to operate. the dischage on the mower is really good throws the clippings a few rows over and fans them out. i really like the turbo foce deck. over all the toro is a better mower in my oppion.

you need a short truck for plowing beucase its easyer to turn around in small parking lots and tight spaces. also i can get in and out from under car ports with no problem.

and give me a day or do and i can get you more pics of my "shop/storage unit"

Don't you think you'd be able to hold alot more leaves if you put some type of door system on the back end of the box? I built sides for my truck and could probably hold alot more if I make something to close it in completly.

Don't you think you'd be able to hold alot more leaves if you put some type of door system on the back end of the box? I built sides for my truck and could probably hold alot more if I make something to close it in completly.

i thought about putting doors on it but i don't have a leaf loader or any thing and as soon as i open the back doors to load more in leafs will fall out now i just start loading from the front and tarp it. it will work good for now next year i'm getting a f-450 and will build a box for that with a leaf loader.

True, the sides on my truck are about level with the cab so they are nowhere near as high as yours. I was kinda relating it to mine where i can toss stuff in from the side easily. but not in your case obviously lol. I think im gonna add some doors this week.

Hey nice stripes and bed-work, the average person doesnt realize how much a fresh-mulched, weed-free, clean-edged bed does for a yard. Stripe the lawn and edge the walk and you have the best lawn in town.

No way in heck am I driving with you with that leaf box on there! Just kidding, nice work.

I have all the wood for on in my garage, but I'm half done with cleanups and have a broken foot. Building a big box is not easy. Alex.. I tool 2000lbs of leaves to the dump today.. that's a new record for me.

Hahaha that's what I was thinking, but the pay is the only bad part. Gotta make that $$$.Inase somethig bad happens with landscaping, there's always another job with income you can spill some over into if that makes sense. I think a little while ago the news was reporting that some Boston cops made more $ than the mayor of Boston! Just from overtime.

$4.50 a foot for roof lines, trees and shrubs 12-30 bucks per sting of lights depending on the type of lights.

Nice but what do you do when a customer hands you a box of tangled mess? I don't think I would put up lights for any of my customers. I have enough trouble keeping my guys away from them with the mowers and trimmers, its like they are physically attracted to them. I like your pictures though. The lights are perfect, not too busy, just the right amount. Looks great, good job!

if a customer hands me a box of tangled lights i say ok $100 an hour and i'll untangle them and put them up for you. but normaly most my jobs are new lights. also i'll have some pics of snow equipment and the storage unit where i store my stuff i made it into a nice little shop. thanks for the comments and keep them coming.

the trailer is a 6.5x12 i can get my small 48in hustler ztr on it and my toro z500 with 60in deck on it but its a really tight fit. my next trailer will be a 8x18 enclosed.
