You can't really choose to do them or not. They show up either way depending on your area (which in northern NJ it will stripe) Some houses just come out better then others.

No no one freaks out, if anything it gets me more jobs. There are some that I do not do it on, thinking they might just not like it. Up here in Vermont most people are pretty relaxed and artistic. I just try to accent things in the yard or house with the stripes. I cut at 3 to 3.5 inches and yes I also have a roller striping kit. I also have electric foot control chute guard. I can open and close my chute with a foot tap. The best thing I ever bought to help save time. That and no grass in the beds houses cars or what ever grass can hit. I have a few more pics to post yet. Happy striping!!!!!!

Do you have to use the roller kit everytime? Or can you mow without it?

Yeah it mounts on the back of the deck. It stays on all season. Its also great to keep you from scalping.

Those stripes are nuts. I love it. It's so different. I'm definitely going to have to try that. I also bookmarked the site for the chute cover. Thanks for the info and for sharing the pics.

pretty inventive with the squiggles, wierd on the one lawn that they dont have anything to follow like that, but still cool. i have done things like that but most of my places dont have anything to accent with stripes like that, they are square and rectangle. i have some with curved drives and forest lines though. kinda fun to be different and pull it off!!

Stripes look cool, I like the pic of the mower sitting there mid-stripe.

How much does an electric foot chute guard run you? and where can I find one? You stripes look great but the wavy lines only look good with a wider deck. If I did them with my 48" deck they would look like ramen noodles.
