Has anyone tried using brine as a non-selective herbicide? How effective is it? My only concern would be the salt residuals left in the soil.

Hey Grass
I am not sure of the reference, what do you mean by "brine"
Is it something you make or something that you can get locally?
What would "brine" do if you could apply it?

I'm sorry. Heavily concentrated salt water. I was going with homemade, but i do know a lot of plow guys are using brine makers for de-iceing applications. so i guess I could rephrase my question as: "could one use salt water as a non-selective herbicide?"
I was thinking that the plant would absorb the salt water, and the salt would then burn the plant.

I'd use a chemical herbicide before brine.

You can re-seed quickly after using vinegar and soap, next day. Doubt that's the case with brine.
