HAHAHA, just kidding.

I went to help one of my buddies that just bought a house, and asked him if it came with a srinkler system. This is what he showed me.

Quite possibly the worst one I've seen.

System was being fed off the hose bib, w/o backflow prevention, off a 1/2" pvc line.

Two short weeks ago I did a repair/upgrade/bring system up to code on a system just like that and made some good $$$$.

 par for course out here. At least the valves are above ground, which BTW also means you don't need BF protection. Don't you guys ever see A/S valves in TX?

They don't comply with code here in FL.:nono:

Except if you're a HO. Then you can do any d@#n thing you please and let the sprinkler guy figure it out when it all goes bad.

Its the house that one of my friends from A&M bought. I'm doing a free landscape plan for him and getting him plants at my cost to help him dress up the house.

as for the irrigation, i told him to go to HD and get some oscillating sprinklers*trucewhiteflag*

What?, no upselling?

Upsell with a business card from my installer buddy and a lecture on how every solar system has a black hole and his may be the one for our universe.

I am curious, how did the system run on 1/2" conduit? How many heads per zone?

Who said anything about code, oh yea from the state who does not think an anti-siphon valve provides toxic rated backflow protection.

It's in IPC - ASV's not recognized as proper backflow protection.

Nor does a PVB when installed improperly.

Orange Plastic was professional grade; ie bought from professional supply house. Green Plastic controller was LOWES or home depot bought.
