If Sean doesn't mind lets make this interesting.
Would all of you Obamma supporters still voted for Obamma if Ron Paul had managed to land the GOP ticket instead?
I did get a chuckle out of the brief glimpse of McCain & Palin and especially the supporters there in AZ on election night. Did those people really think McCain was the best thing since sliced bread?
I'm not a big fan of Ann Coulter but I do admit I got several chuckles out of her article titled "The reign of lame falls mainly on McCain" posted on WND dot com

FNM- McCain preached unity from start to finish, that's why he lost. His choice of Palin is the only bright spot in his campaign. Speaking of veeps, what basement is Biden hiding in? Hello, Joe are you out there? If anybody has seen Joe, please stand up for joe!:laugh:

I have heard more Mcain bashing the day after the election from the republican conservatives than I have ever heard from democrats. Keep in mind the flip flop in just two days. The day before they were claiming he was the pinnacle of the GOP the savior of America. Now he's just a Senator from Arizona who struggled to carry his own state, and couldn't carry all of his surrounding states in a Presidential Election.

The GOP has no one to blame but themselves for loosing the election. McCain is the weakest conservative out there if you can call him that. He even gives RINO [republican in name only] a black eye with his voting record. He is a hot headed foul tempered fellow POW back stabber along with his buddy John Kerry of party D.
Quite frankly as much as shudder at the thought of a super radical pro abortion president - just look at his voting record. McCain scares me more. I'm frankly relived that McCain won't be able to fly into fit of rage and with his hair trigger needlessly launch some missile or something worse.
What we all need to understand is that no one can become president of the USA unless they have the cooperation of the media and the big money insiders that control BOTH political parties. The person being sworn in next year is merely window dressing and they are essentially puppets.
I fully expect Obamma will tarnish the democrat party just like Bush tarnished the Republican party these last 8 years.
I voted for Chuck Baldwin. The only candidate Ron Paul endorsed.
Like I often say to friends and family, "You can't offer a solution unless people are convinced of the problem"
I will make a blanket statement now. IMO if you are truly saddened or overjoyed by this election outcome - then you flat out don't understand how the One Party system really works and how we are all being taken for suckers.

Oh, is it that unity that insinuates your fellow countryman is a possible terrorist?
Maybe it's the unity that tells some people they are "Real Americans" if there are from one place in the US and not another?
I agree that much of that came from Palin, but she was going to be his VP, right?
A bright spot of what exactly, was she?
I saw her as an inciter of hate and ignorance, and nothing more.

The Election of Obama took all citizens of this great country: white, black, Mexicans, Asian, etc. I am hopeful this will start to heal the "racial" wounds in this country; however their are some black people here in Memphis who just want to hold on to that "race card". Many talking about what "their" president is going to do for "their" black cause. Just in the past two days, my observations, and listening to people talk is that: the Black folks here in Memphis are looking for Obama to give them "special" treatment. Now their are some highly educated Black people I know, who DID NOT vote for obama, and one black friend said his black friends will not talk to him right now:laugh:
We still know very little about this mans history, and our country is looking for change, so he was voted as our next president-elect. I hope we all are comfortable sleeping in the bed we have made.
The Black vote was 99% for Obama, and white male/female votes were at 65%. So you would think Obama election, sends a clear message our country wants to heal the racial divide. Yet the over wheeling black population, via the news media, in my case locally, are expressing their views otherwise. Obama has inspired the older generation and young generations of blacks to "do better", heck we all should have been doing better.
Lets get past, the "never in my lifetime" BS; because all I am reading or hearing is more racism brewing.
Obama has set himself up for being one of the best presidents in America's history, or for sending this great country to it's slow death. His election brought no more comfort to my household. :usflag:

Hey how's the stock market doing since the election? Should be fine according to the press. I wonder where the confidence is? I suspect that those that invest in the market (investors) aren't so confident.

Look at all the nasty, false things that were said before he was elected, or even before it appeared he was going to be elected(look in this thread, even). Some people are looking pretty bad right now.
And some have to remember this: Bush is still calling the shots.
Even so, Iraq is trying to put their government together with a sense of urgency now - something that hasn't happened under the current administration before - so one can argue that change is already taking place, even though our new president isn't in office(I posted this article on the previous page).

I've noticed that people with yard signs for Obama have left them up & the McCain signs disappeared after the election that night. I've even seen a lot of cars where the person tried to take their McCain sticker off & could only get like half of it off. :dizzy::laugh::laugh:

Yeah, I think we are having an "Obama standoff" in my neighborhood also, haha - I took my window sign down, and then realized only the 14 or more McCain signs were the only ones taken down, not the few Obama ones.
So I put mine back up in my window.

I took my yard sign down the other day, mainly so it wouldn't seem like I was gloating. But, I still have 1 sticker on my truck & 2 on my trailer.

The stock market is all based on future expectations. Obama has said he would raise capital gains and dividend taxes, so people are selling now before Obama, Reid, and Pelosi come after any earnings they might have made.
By the way, Dick Morris' book "Fleeced" predicted there would be a big sell off a couple weeks before the election and the days afterward if Obama was elected.

Care to share what you think I'm full of? So if you know what the stock market is based on, why did you make your previous comment? No, Obama is not the President yet. But in anticipation of his inauguration, investors are selling stocks to keep from being hit by his proposed tax increases, plus there is so much uncertainty right now about who his appointments are going to be and what they will all do.

Get off the comparison to Bush mantra. Bush was a disaster. Obama has already turned out to be an even bigger disaster, and he still has three more years. Re-election should be out of the question but the Republicans will probably nominate another loser like McCain.
