How much MSMA do you put in a 2 gallon hand sprayer? Spot spraying crabgrass.

I also have some surfactant I can utilize as well if that helps any.

Thanks,

Keith

I've got some surfactant sitting around in the garage not being used. Should I use that with it or does it matter? If so, how much.

Thanks for your response!

Keith

Zero--do not use MSMA for crabgrass. It is old technology. It often injures the good grass and seldom kills the crabgrass. Use Drive. Combine it with the wetting agent or crop oil.

Drive75 and crop oil, will it take out 2-4 tiller crabgrass in one shot?

Do what Riggle said. Much better results with less potential injury. The old "Arsenics" are on the way out and not just because of enviromental reasons. MSMA is pretty touchy stuff. Use too little and nothing happens, too much and you are sodding areas with little margin for error. I've seen no control vs. damage with as little as 5 mills. difference in concentration in a gallon mixture
