After the grass grows I will trim the weed fabric back more, so you can't see it.

Also, did you do the landscaping around the rest of the house?

The home owner did most of what you see. Including digging the pond. They just didn't have the muscle to handle the boulders. In their early 60's. It is a lawn account of mine.

Looks good, brother.

I'm jealous of all of you on here who get to use a lot of rocks, as they don't really have much of a place in most of the landscape's here (New Orleans area).

Approx. 40 hrs. Just me and another guy. The boulders were pretty much on site. We had to go to the back of the property, to a fence row and grab the boulders. We used a skid steer to bring them to the pond.

In the third pic you can see a dam. I drained the water as low as possible, and we went to work. I was in waders in the water and my helper handed the boulders to me from the top and I stacked them. It's hard to tell, but about 20' of the middle of the wall is actually about 6' tall. There is quite alot of boulders under the water in that area.

There is approx. 12 yrds. of back fill, and 5 yds. of topsoil.

A garden wall I did last year. I have alot more pics of walls with boulders, just not on this computer. One of these days I will get some more up. I love working with boulders, in the right situations. They are alot less formal, as I tend to lean more twords all natural type of landscapes. Although I do formal, I just don't personally care for them as much.
