I have a 2001 Exmark Lazer Z HP 52" / 23 Kawasaki that has only about 100 hours. I am a part timer, had it less than 1 year and I have maintained it by the book. I have about $7500 in it, the mulching kit, and 3 sets of extra blades. I am sure the 2002 is even more expensive. My properties are all small residentials so I am thinking of replacing with a walk behind. How much should I ask for it? Give me your opions!

If it was mine, I would probably start about $6200. I paid $6800 for mine new plus tax. Probably you should be willing to come down a little. Not much.

This is like buying a truck that has been lifted and after market wheels and tires.

It is only worth what some one else will pay for it.

100 hours

All most out of warrenty

$5000

I'll trade you a Turf Tracer 52" 23hp Kohler even up for it.

If you want I'll even swap the engines out.

65Hoss you will have his expectations up too high at $6200.

The basic rule for anything used is 1/2 original purchase price. Then you work up or down depending on how nice or new it is. If you take a brand new $35,000 truck off the lot and sell it the next day, its only worth high 20's! You may be lucky to see $5,000 for that mower KB. This is why we have to make "educated" decisions in life. If I were you I'd keep it. It doesn't cost anything to keep it. Unless you financed it? Put it on Ebay, things seem to go for more $ than they are worth. I've been pretty lucky with selling on Ebay. Always make out like a bandit!!

Good Luck

I am think of starting a small business this spring and was considering a Lazer to do small - large residential jobs. Curious...why are you swithing from your Lazer to a walkbehind?

In my area a 52 is worth a lot less than a 60,no one wants a 52 on commercials, and it to big for residentials,i d say ask about 5200,and probably sell it for4500 here,if it were a 60,it would be worth at least 700 more.
