Let's say you have a situation where you need to augment an existing zone and sufficient wiring was in place to support additional lights.
Instead of adding new runs to an existing hub (approx 30ft runs from hub to fixture) you pigtail two fixtures to the runs you wish to modify and split the wattage and then extend the others to keep the run length consistent.
The reason you may ask, is that to add new runs to the hub is relatively difficult and would be pretty disruptive to the area.
So while not perfect by any means, what is the downside to doing this?
