I'm thinking of selling my fertilizer accounts now as well. I'm not set on this, but will accept the right offer. All accounts in W. Wisconsin and Minneapolis metro.

Gross is around $300,000. Will probably sell accounts and equipment for 1 years gross revenue. PM if you want to know net and margins).

600 customers
70% residential
Great office staff
Realgreen ($5500!)
4 trucks,
1998 chevy 3500 van 100,000 miles
2001 ford f350 with custom spray body 55,000 miles
2001 ford E350 superduty diesel 15' box truck (with eco 505 injector spray system)
2001 chevy 2500 160,000
one 7000 lb. enclosed 14 ft. trailer, torsion axles, reinforced floors and walls.

All vehicles in VERY GOOD condition

1 Zspray MAX, 400 hours
1 permagreen 150 hours
1 lesco HPS
4 lesco push spreaders
storage tanks, etc....

1 MN wanner 2-tank system
1 200 gallon lesco skid sprayer
2 eco-505 gregson sprayers- box truck has 500 gallon tank.

Its a great business, but My wife and I have other ambitions that we'd rather pursue. We both want to go into oversees mission / aid work.

I think your on the cheap side. Chemlawn will pay 85 cents on the dollar over 2 years just for the accounts.....which usually equates to 30-40 cents after they lose most of them. I dont know your area at all, but if you have less than a 5% market share, an aggressive owner that knows the biz and is capable of excellent customer service and marketing could easliy hit 10% plus.

Not crazy, I just have different motivations and passions. I get a kick out of helping others and living adventurously, not from making lots of money.
