Fastrak Super Duty Tranny

First let me say that I really like the Super Duty 54 inch mower. I was mowing for about the 5th time since I purchased the mower and decided to place my fingers on the side of the trannys just to see how warm they got. Both seemed hot to the touch to the degree that you could not hold your hand on them. Is this normal?

Not knowing the exact temp, I would say that is normal.
They are the workhorse of the unit (other than the engine), this is why they have the fans bolted to the pulleys always turning.
