Pop-up box for private messaging

My option for the pop-up box is checked yes to let me know when I have received a new message......
It has always worked for me in the past. But my last couple of messages, I haven't received a notice indicating that I have a new PM.
Has anyone else experienced this trouble lately?

I use an ad block/popup stopper software app so the popup would never work for me.

Do you have this app, and if so are your settings such that you cannot receive these warnings?

Thanks for the suggestion.
But no I don't have any of that software installed.
The pop-up box has always worked for me but my last 3 messages, the box did not pop up. THat's why I was wondering if it happened to anyone else.
