Can anyone give me feedback on a Scag Freedom Z? I am debating on wether or not to buy a 52 in wb or Z. I like the idea of a Z to save wear on my hands and knees ( from velke). Also, the Z is supposed to have greater ground speeds. However, I hear this is an "entry level" commercial grade. Is this a good Z to start with? I'm planning on using it about 20-30 hrs/wk. A Z is much easier on the hands than pistol grip wb right? I've never even demo'd one yet.

I do see more Exmark Z's out there nowadays though. Would one of those be a better choice for the $?

And do Ztr's really cut with just as good quality as a wb but with greater speeds?

do a search, you'd be surprised at what you'll find!

Nice to hear from you again Green-Pa! How's everything going? If I were you, I'd find a dealer that would let me demo one on the lawns that I mow.

Nice to be heard Lawnut 101 :)

Do dealers really let u demo one on a day on the job?

They should. I demo'ed or should I say used a Freedom Z while waiting for my TC to come in. I would have kept it if Scag offered a power assist bagger. That mower cut great and felt planted on hills.
