Here is one of the Hillsborough County Dump Sites that I use a couple of times a week. Makes life so easy, every city should have a site like this. I see alot of guys on here complaining they dont have anywhere to dump. I am glad we dont have that problem...

i have one here in Goshen, IN. One dump is $10-15 and there is one on the NE side of Indy as well for $15 a dump. Very nice, quick, and easy. Not that I wouldn't want my own dumping area on a big piece of property of mine that everyone could come to my property to do the same thing. lol.

Those 2 places don't judge by weight. Goshen it is ethier pickup bed ($10) or dump truck or trailer ($15). They also allow grass clippings the same way. The place in Indy is $15 no matter what weight or size. For both just remeber NO TRASH, just plant material.

We have the same type sites down here also. The biggest problem I see is the useable material after grinding. It's gotten steadily better since 2004, where the material was so contaminated with bits of plastic bags, nails and such, because of mixing construction material or pallets. In the last couple of years its much better, but would use the premium grade of reuse mulch that has gone through 2 cycles of grinding, to avoid the large chunks of wood and masses of stringy palm fronds that adds more time than it's worth to install and still is not aesthetically pleasing for most high visibility sites.

Yup we got a bunch of those all over town. Scrap yards too, bring in a truck load of steel or aluminum and make some decent money.

You should be thankfull for that! I pay 22 a yard for a mixed load, and 16.00 a yard for grass. It adds up quick.

We dump for $4.00/yd, and can dump nearly anything (other than propane tanks, motors, and tires).

Gotta love the dirty south! :usflag:

I can dump all the compost and brush I want for free at the town dump here. The catch is, it's open from 9-2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 7:30 to 2:30 on Saturdays - and they said bankers hours were bad!

I was thinking of like a dump truck when I clicked into this thread, but anywho we've got a city compost site here where you can dump grass, limbs, and lawn stuff. They have rows of dirt and rows of mulch. I did a job a while back using mulch from there and it wasn't bad stuff. The only thing now is people are starting to be inconsiderate and dump trash and stuff like that down there. Starting to go down hill if you know what I mean.

These are a few pictures I took while I was at the city compost site this evening dumping grass from today. Dump all the grass you want, dump all the leaves and limbs you want, all the good black dirt you need, as much mulch as you want, all free of charge. Not the greatest and most state of the art but it works. I've used the mulch on a couple of jobs and they turned out pretty good.

If they go by weight, what happens of you have a whole trailer full of grass and it rains? I does weigh a hell of alot more when its wet. What do you do then?

I used to work at one of those, we ground with an 11' Morbark tub grinder 400 horse detroit, grapple, that thing was sweet. It was $10 a pickup load and then all the way up to $120 a tri-axle Guy who owned it before the company I worked for used to age the grindings, it made really nice mulch

dude, You're getting hosed compared to the $40/yard because in general rule it takes a ton and a half to make a yard so in rough figure your paying $82/yard. Where the hell did you go to school??

So what your saying is a yard of topsoil weighs the same as a yard of mulch?

I can fillup my bed or the dump with bush clippings and grass and still be under a ton. The dump can hold about 6-7 yards of mulch.

So figure that one out:dizzy::hammerhead:

thats the cleanest, and smallest dump I have seen, on concrete also?? Our local recyle centers are packed with debris, and grass clippings are free to dispose off no limit. Brush or tree's only cost $20.00 per dump load regardless of size.

Wow the only dump we have here sucks. They have no set prices. This jackass midget walked out and see's what you have and charges you what you feel like. One day it cost $20 for a trailer and the next its $35. It's bullshit.

Wow, I'm sorry guys. Completely FREE, private dump. Just down the road from my house. I could never imagine having to pay to dump all my junk, haha.
