I'm done paying $70/hr shop rate ( 1 hr minimum) to have someone clean the carbs on my stuff. Anyone do this them selfs, I've taken plenty apart and cleaned out some of it but I know there are tools you need to clean certain ports etc. Can I buy a small engine kit somewhere. Any advice will h:usflag:elp.

Are you talking about 2cycle or 4cycle carbs?

2 cycle...I've noticed that they need to be cleaned more since the new gas came out 4-5 yrs ago

Walbro and Zama both have tool kits for their carbs that come with everything needed to rebuild, you will also need a carb pressure tester to make sure your needle and seat are not leaking.
