If i were you, and i would do the same, i would wait until they have the 5k rebates again (they had it on 4th of july weekend) The trucks are not selling like they used to, so you'll get a good price on a truck, plus you'll get a nice rebate off of it. I was looking at an 08 gmc 2500 reg cab long box 4x4 work truck, but it had the bare essentials like power windows, doors, locks, etc. We negotiated the price to 29k (31k sticker) and for the fourth of july weekend they had that 72 hour sale (which was extended for the week) which gave a 5k rebate. Where can you get a brand spankin new truck for 24k? I thought it was a good deal, and should of taken it, but i'll wait until it goes lower.

Never shop on payments. You'll always be in debt.

Yea, but the way i look at it, it will only cost you maybe 100 more a month. You might be paying more then that for someone elses problem when you want to go and get it fixed. I think the 3500 dually is a little overkill, especially going from a 1500. THe 2500 will be more then enough of truck. Its exactly what i did. I went from a 1500 gas to a 2500 diesel. I guess its just a personal preference. I would much rather buy new.

Injectors on that year were a problem, GM warantees them for 200,000 miles or 7 years, so warranty is almost up. I would have a mechanic check them out. If I were going with a 1 ton and dually, you might as well look for one with a dump box on it, for that big of a truck, it is wasted without a dump or pulling 5th wheels.

That '06 dodge is the sweetest deal of the bunch by a long shot.
