Liriope (Lilyturf)

I have some liriope in a a front yard bed. This weekend, I cleaned out the dead stuff and fertilized using an all purpose plant food (13-13-13). Is there anything else I can do at this point to stimulate growth? At one time, it was nice and lush, but now it is not doing well. It has perked up a bit since this weekend.

Is there a good time to cut it back? I was thinking that might be the next step but I wanted to wait until the temperatures started cooling a little bit. I am on the Gulf Coast of Texas - Corpus Christi to be exact.

Sounds like you are on the right track to getting it growing. We always cut ours back in the winter. We usually take the weedeaters to it if there is not too much and cut it back to about 3". If there is a mass planting we will run a push mower over it at 3".
