My front lawn was dying, (bermuda sod) and my tree was gold (dead) I've watered heavily over the past couple weeks and I was seeing some progress but yesterday I gave it a cut. Now it just looks dead again. It seems like the top of the grass was green but when it was cut down, it was greenish brown again. Is it time for fertilizer? If so, what type would be best for bermuda sod in Texas?

Thanks in Advance

What height are you mowing the turf right now, in the Texas heat ?
Do you bag clippings, or discharge ?
Are your blades sharp ?

Tell us some specifics about your watering habits, as far as length of time per given area, and typical time between waterings.

When was this bermuda sod you're talking about last fertilized, and with what brand, and analysis of fertilizer ?
( The "analysis" is the 3 numbers you see on any bag of fert.)

What does the dead, once "gold" tree have to do with the lawn ? Did you maybe over-water it, and drown it ?

If you post a few digital pictures on here....I'm sure one of us will be able to figure out at least one or two of your mysteries !

Make sure you check out the archive page.

It works. But you really need to post some pics of the "dead" stuff.
