Does anyone know how to make a Big Leaf Hydrangea bloom in Sept in NWPA, thanks

Most Hydrangeas bloom in early to mid-summer, so I'm not sure if you could even get it to bloom in Sept.

The good thing is that the bloom will dry and have a fourth season look to it in the winter time when it is dry and dormant.

Wait until it buds out and cut the stems by half (if 4', cut to 2'). This might do it: this sort of procedure works to delay bloomtimes and also promotes stronger basal stems (to support the leaf and bloom masses).
