Maybe it's just the picture but the steps look a little far apart almost like you would need to jump from one to the other. But hey overall it does look better.

Oh my.... not too sure about that. As mentioned- what is the plant to control what you weedeated down? Did you spray?

That is too much rock, IMO.

i agree with tthomass, bigger rocks and more of them for the path. That is just too much rock to me without enough contrast between the path and the stone.
