View Full Version : F911 John Deere
I am looking at a 1994 F911 John Deere with 505 hours at a dealer. They are asking $5700. It was traded in by a church. Seems a little high? Has any one had experience with this model? Comments on price? Thanks in advance! MLB

I looked at a couple last year. I think they were 911's or maybe 935? 60 inch deck deisel 900-1100 hours and they wanted $3800
The F-911 had the 22hp LC Kawi engine, and I believe was only available with the 60" deck. I personally had a F-935 (22hp Yanmar Diesel) with the 60" deck. It, at times, seemed underpowered, I'd hate to have had the 911.
My friend had an F-911 for about a year, he sold it to a local homeowner, who, up until this year still had it. They were just like the bigger diesels, but with the small LC Kawi.
To the best of my knowledge, they cost just around $10K new (back then), so they are really pulling your chain if they are asking $5700. 500 some hrs is kinda low, but remember, they aren't the best cutting machines, and they are big and cumbersome when in comes to small tight areas. It's simply 20 year old technology. There's a lot of ass-end to swing around when you turn. They are no where near zero turn. Something like a 2' uncut circle w/o turning brakes applied.
Move on to something else! That should be priced around $3000 to $3500 at most.

I agree with TLS, old mower, old technology. We had a F-930 and now have the F1435. But for that price I'd add $3000 and get a new ZTR with warranty. The time a ZTR will save will more than pay for the additional cost and any repairs on an old F-911.
