I retired two years ago and started my solo lawn service. I currently have 42 customers. I use a 32" Yazoo/Kees w.b. and a Honda 21. 24 of my customers have fenced yards thus the small units. My other 18 customers have open yards that take 17 hours to mow. How much time would I save with a 48" w.b. or a 48" ztr. I have placed bids on some larger contracts that would help cover the cost of a biger additional mower. Thanks.

IF you are SOLO you must think when mowing the fenced in areas the 48 is not going to make through the fences.

Which means that you have to take both mowers .

Which means back to the trailer (you loss time there).

With help !!!!!! ( Yes.)

To answer your question, going up will help a lot. The 24 fenced lawns you can use the 48" on the fronts and save a good bit of time. The other 18 will save you a lot of time. Going from my eXmark 36" to my 48" w/b is a big difference. Going from 32" to 48" would be even better.

If you have open lawns I would go ZTR probably 60" Exmark is suppost to make a good one and Ive heard from many scag ZTRS suck!!! In my area the perfet setup would be a 21" Honda Comm, 32" Exmark Viking Hydro, 52" Exmark Turf Tracer and a 60" Exmark ZTR.
