recently bought a 88' dump truck... it was a complete steal for only $1,100!!! only 33k original miles on it... did a bit of rusting but time will do that... so anyway, I hadn't gone out to get the book yet but does anyone know what type of oil to use for the gearbox? i couldn't find it on google... let me know thanks

I'd call Ford

85-w90 Gear oil.

But heavy-duty 85-w140 is better.

Is it a 5 speed? What engine? The 460 and diesel trucks need synthetic mercon ATF.
