I was looking through some pics from my Senior class trip out east from June. The first pic is in front of Independence Hall, and the grass looked terrible

This grass is along the reflection pool, I was sickened by the condition of the grass in most places in D.C.

Lawn in front of the White House-the only grass that impressed me in D.C.

Some "up-close" pics of White House lawn/landscaping. It was a garden tour day, 1 of only 5 days per year that people can get this close to the White House.

Well I guess you aren't aware that the first 2 pictures are of Independence Hall in PHILADELPHIA. Look who's the dumb*** now.

DBL is from PA, I'm sure he knows what Philadelphia looks like.

Some of my friends got into the White House because his brother-in-lawn is a press secretary thing or something of that nature. You usually have to know the right people.

I know, people were getting mad at me for always critiquing the lawns and landscaping. Well, I just couldn't keep my mouth shut, our nation's capital, and the grass looks like this!!!:nono:

I gotta say, along the lines of the grass at national monuments - that every time I've been to the Alamo in San Antonio, the grass and gardens are always perfectly manicured. . . I should dig up some pics. . .

Yeah, maybe that is my gleaming personality-or just the fact that it was muggy and screwing up my camera.

I'm not surprised at the poor quality of government maintained lawns...if they're paying, it ain't gonna look good.

And lol about looking at grass on a trip...I just flew up to Chicago to visit family...first thing I thought when I got of the plane..."I wonder what kind of grass they have here". Then at my family's house I heard someone mowing across the street and had to watch...lol I have it bad. And I was disappointed when I left that I couldn't find a dealer anywhere to bring home a souvenier...

I went to D.C. a few years ago and the lawn mowing quality was just awful, along the sides of the reflection pool, that was nasty. I quess who ever they hire to do that, they could probly make a living just cutting the grass there, there is so much grass to cut I can see where they start slipping.
