How concerned should I be about kinks put in Techline tubing while muscling couplers on,or when wrapping or directing the tubing into place.I massage them out,but do I need to worry about future problems?

I got some Netafim and the way it came from factory it had 3 kinks in it - at same place on each "circle" when coiled. I used this Netfim and unkinked it. The kinks are remembered - I have never successfully been able to remove them. Also, by installing on a small radius curve, I kinked the line, and these kinks keep coming back. So, yes, I think the kinking matters.

cut it at the kink and put in a coupling.

Yes, but should these things "remember" a kink? Also, what kind of quality is it to ship this with kinks in it? If every time you put a kink in it, you need to cut and add a coupling, this is not a good design.

I also have used some Toro Blue-Strip 1/2" drip - doesn't seem to kink as easily, but also remembers the kink.

Yes, I agree it should not be shipped kinked, although I find they allow "persuation" back to original after laying in the sun for awhile. I have used Toro Blue Strip also, but prefer the netafim for it's flexibility. Netafim turns on 9 inch diameter circle without kinking. Toro about 14 inches. Toro kinks right at emitter, and is hard to straighten and is stiffer by comparison. I stake either brand on both sides of the "kink" after it is straightened.

Just my opinion, Jeff
