I just purchased a 99 36" SCAG WB belt driven commercial mower. I seem to be having problems with blade engagement. On a cold start everything is working perfect and no problems up until the mower runs a little while. I will get half way through my backyard and then the blade will disengage even when I am in full throttle on any gear. The problem is hit and miss. I usually am afraid to disengage the blade when I have to put the mower in neutral to move trash and etc. I can't get the blade to engage again unless I give it time. I tried to use a volt meter to trace which side of the harnest the fault is on. If I get below 8 volts it could be the switch. More than likely the heat is a factor and it is the blade clutch. I was just wondering if anyone has similar activity and can give me any ideas.

check the pto clutch air gap. it should be .009-.012.

most of them are adjustable.
