auxiliary brake problem

I saw a question on the topic somewhere but it didnt have an answer so i figured I would try to see what all the experienced minds in here have to say on the subject.

My auxiliary brake sensor goes on and off once in a while, usualy as the truck is just turned on. Many times in goes off in about 30 seconds, lately it stays on longer. Could somebody give me a idiots guide to the auxiliary brake?

btw, the truck is a 97 gmc 7500 with a cat 3116

Explain better....are you talking about a trailer brake controller?? Sounds like somethings loose.
