Transmission- Commercial vs Residential

I've been using Lawn Boy residential mowers 21 inch with self propel. The transmissions last just one season. Very hilly here in Western PA. My question is will the Commercial Lawn Boy model 22271 transmission last longer? Looking up the part numbers I see that they are different transmissions.
