View Full Version : Palm Trees In Connecticut...
Have an area lawn service who offers palm tree service, installs 25- 30' palm trees in May and removes them in September, its pretty cool, especially around the pool areas, he then stores them for them in greenhouses until next spring.

wow, that may verry well be a good niche over there. I know people have money there, well atleast I'm pretty sure they do.

There is also a hardy palm that will grow in your area without removal. I can't remember the name of it off hand, I'll post again later if I find it.
i'd appreciate that , that would make things a lot easier, love the look .

Ya, I was thinking the Windmill palm specifically.
Good Ol Kate, she's all over it. Good info in the link.:clapping:
As for placement and removal every year--- I was in the State Farm Corporate center the other day, and in the center atrium, there are giant planters that some company comes in and changes seasonally. When I was in there, there were 15-20 foot palms in about 7 planters. The security guard told me it gets changed 3 times a year, and in the winter they put in evergreens.
That's got to be a pretty penny.
thanks guys, i'm gonna give one a try myself...
