We are happy to announce the much anticipated release of the new Exmark Premium Hydraulic Oil.
We have discovered that over the last 15 years as Mobil 1 has changed their formula to meet their industry demands; their oil no longer provides the level of protection for our hydraulic system that it once did. Since our hydraulic systems haven’t changed, this has encouraged us to formulate our own blend of oil that will perform under tough, commercial mowing conditions.
Exmark has been successful in formulating an oil with twice the shear stability of competing oils which offers multiple benefits. Prolonged transmission life, superior thermal stability, consistent hydro performance and easier start-ups even in extreme weather condition, just to mention a few.
The biggest concern that seems to come up is “Can I mix Mobil 1 with the Exmark Oil”?
Yes you can. They are completely compatible. The only concern is in the service intervals. Once the premium oil is mixed with Mobil 1, you will need to follow the new recommend service intervals for Mobil 1 which is to change every 250 hours or yearly, whichever comes first (regardless of previous recommendations). The premium oil is designed and manufactured with superior anti-wear protection allowing us to change the intervals from 250 hours to 500 for the release of the new 2009 Lazer models and suggest following product manual specifications for all 09 models.
Because we do not know the history of products that are currently out in the field, we are recommending following the service intervals of changing every 250 hrs or yearly which ever comes first with the Exmark Premium Oil for all pre 2009 products.
It is still OK to use Mobil 1. In the event that you continue to use Mobil 1 as your hydraulic oil, your service interval needs to be every 250 hours.
