Echo 452VL chainsaw

I am in need of points and condenser for this echo chainsaw as well as a muffler assembly. Couldn't get them at my dealer as they are no longer available. Does anybody know where I might find these items. I have part #.

Phil's idea is probably the best.

I haven't put one on the 452, but suppose it will fit and work ok.

Original points and condensor might be found new on ebay. I see "parts lots" sold sometimes. Points and condensor would be probable in one of these autions and the muffler also.

I believe the 451 has the some muffler.

On the 452's I've had, I just filed the points, rather than replacing. Of the thousands of repairs on this and other point style echos, I never actually saw condensor failure. Be sure the points are absolutely clean when reassembling. Oil especially will prevent fire.

Echo, like others, had a lot of superceded numbers. Some research or a call to a good dealer might give you more than one #.
