I have a 6 year old 52" hydro that starts easily but will stall out when I put it into forward gear or flip the switch to turn on the blades. Any suggestions?

Ridin Around, Good to see your Avatar, I got to thinking maybe they don't get what an operator presence switch is, copy? So to Y'all, flip the seat up, under there is a bolthead sticking up that has a large washer pushing down on a switch, (usually a grey S/P-S/T), pull the connector of the bottom of the switch put a temporary jumper between the two connector terminals and see if the switch is the problem. The seat switch is a very common problem, and nothing wrong with cleaning it, or if you feel energetic, take it out, dunk it, give it a nice bath, blow it out with the blowgun, and see if that fixes the problem, by the way, how many hours are on this machine? If your 52 is a walk behind your OP switch may be built into the handle too. Thanks, for the compliment on the puller!!
