580D right motor problem

I just bought an extremely nice 1989 Toro 580D w/645hrs yeah I said 645 .The right motor works well for 10-15 mins then slows down and stalls and wont turn.Also the forward movement seems a little jerky and not as smooth as what I think it should be. All Suggestions and any form of advice/help appreciated.Thanks
