Found usually in the AM hours fluttering in front of the mowers. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks

It's not sod webworm, but it might be a "tropical sod webworm", but being up north I haven't seen any of the tropical type... my pics indicate that the head should be more pointed, but the wing markings look right. Regular sod web worm moths look like a thin, bleached, straight twig. The tropicals have a much wider wing when at rest like the one in your pic.

Look for small oval shaped cottony masses on undersides of eaves, lawn furniture and tree branches. Once you see those, the caterpilars will hatch out of those in about 10-14 days and drop into the lawn to start feeding. In the tropics, I get to deal with this 12 months out of the year
